Ewiva expands its network in Tuscany: inaugurated a new ultrafast charging station in Pontassieve (FI)

Ewiva, the joint venture of Enel X and Volkswagen Group created to accelerate the development of electric mobility in Italy, has inaugurated a new ultra-fast charging station in Pontassieve, in Piazza Aldo Moro. This new site, realized through synergistic collaboration with the municipal administration, contributes to making electric mobility more accessible for residents and travelers.

The new station is equipped with 2 charging infrastructures, also known as 150 kW “columns,” for a total of 4 charging points (PoCs), offering an ultra-fast and reliable charging experience to all e-drivers in the area. The strategic location of the site, located in a commercial area along the SS67 Tosco Romagnola, one of the main arteries connecting Florence with central Italy, allows users to take advantage of the charging time to take advantage of nearby stores, bars and restaurants, as well as supermarket and post office.

With this new activation, Ewiva further strengthens its network in Tuscany, which now has 18 ultrafast charging stations, for a total of 60 active high-power charging points in the region.

“We are proud to inaugurate this new station in Pontassieve, a further step in our mission to create a widespread and accessible charging network throughout Italy,” said Daniela Biscarini, CEO of Ewiva. “Tuscany is a key region for sustainable mobility, and this new infrastructure is an important contribution to foster the electric transition in the territory. Thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Pontassieve, we continue to develop innovative and strategic charging solutions, ensuring e-drivers a convenient and worry-free travel experience.”

“Our territory takes an important step toward environmental sustainability with two ultra-fast charging infrastructures for electric vehicles. An ‘important innovation made possible by the collaboration between several partners, added Carlo Boni – Mayor of Pontassieve. This intervention is fundamental to the policies in favor of reducing emissions and promoting sustainable mobility that our municipality carries out at the local level. The new station is, moreover, located in a central location of Sieci, in a nerve center of our territory and in a strategic square that also hosts rest stop and restaurant activities.”
